Round trips
Croatia has become known worldwide as a top round trip destination. It has
developed a recognizable brand thanks to its natural beauties, national
parks under the protection of UNESCO, its indented coastline with over
1,000 islands, and its cultural heritage.
Each organized round trip is
tailored to meet the demands of each group. Here are some of the most
interesting places (per regions) that are included in our tours, and an
example of a round trip.
Round Trip Example
Day 1 - gathering in Zagreb, dinner and overnight stay in a 3*/4*
hotel.
Day 2 - breakfast, sightseeing of the old part of the
town accompanied by a costumed guide. Departure to the Plitvice Lakes
National Park. Situated in a thick forest, the Plitvice Lakes are one of
the most beautiful natural phenomena in the world. Sixteen lakes and 92
waterfalls cascade through their picturesque surroundings. The Plitvice
Lakes are listed as part of UNESCO's World Natural Heritage. Dinner and
overnight stay in a 3*/4* hotel on the Split or ©ibenik Riviera.
Day
3 - breakfast, sightseeing of Split and Trogir. Split was an ancient
Roman settlement and has a host of historical sights: Emperor Diocletian's
Palace built in the 4th century, its ancient Cellars; the Peristyle,
Cathedral and Baptistery; and the Golden Gate. Trogir is a small town
under the cultural protection of UNESCO.
Day 4 - breakfast,
drive along the Adriatic coast through the Makarska Riviera and along the
Neretva River Delta to Dubrovnik, a city of 1000 monuments. Due to its
exceptional beauty and rich cultural heritage, this ancient city is under
UNESCO's protection.
Day 5 - breakfast, excursion to the
town of ©ibenik, founded more than a thousand years ago. The most
important monument is the Gothic-Renaissance Cathedral of St. Jacob
[James], part of the UNESCO World Heritage. The Krka Waterfalls are our
next destination. Located in the lovely Krka National Park, the falls
cascade over 17 natural barriers.
Day 6 - breakfast,
departure towards Istria with a stop in Zadar - a 3000-year-old city!
Illyrians, Romans, Byzantines, Venetians, the French, and members of the
Habsburg dynasty - all of them have walked through the streets of Zadar.
Arrival at a 3*/4* star hotel in Pula in the evening. Dinner, overnight
stay.
Day 7 - after breakfast, sightseeing of the Roman
amphitheater in Pula and a boat ride to the Brijuni Islands National Park.
Sightseeing of the major island's beauty spots on foot and by train with a
specialised guide. The most interesting sights are: a Roman country
residence, the safari park, and the "Tito on Brijuni" photo exhibition.
Day
8 - breakfast and departure. Stop on the Kvarner Riviera to see
Opatija and Rijeka.
